I am planning to travel to Aruba this fall and was wondering if anyone could offer some insight on their hospitals for emergency care. I have severe food allergies and worry about traveling to a foreign place without the comforts of the US hospitals and doctors.

Aruba's Dr. Horacio Oduber Hospital has 280 beds and is extremely reputable with modern equipment. The hospital is located centrally to the resort hotels on the island.

It is a long established hospital with medical ties to the U.S., Colombia, Venezuela, Puerto Rico and of course the Netherlands for specialized treatment and care.

The hospital does offer emergency care as well as provide specialists in a wide range of fields.

basically tropical heat and tropical doctors and nurses and tropical food and drinks if they are still working perfectly normally!!! however in these modern days of gangland fighting it will be more pressurised and less likely to be tended to on every last whim!!!
